d) Introduction to the city:
Rubí is a city located to 23 km from Barcelona, in relation to the strategic road network and a modern industry in growth. Its population at mid-twentieth century was about 10,000 and now exceeds 74,000 inhabitants.
This has involved the growing number of industries and businesses in a city that has been going specializing mainly industrial (chemical and pharmaceuticals, metal, automotive, textile ...), and has been a considerable increase in the sector services to meet the needs of the population.

e) Neighborhoods and main roads:
The districts are formed to Ruby from the 60s in industrial euphoria, a significant shortage of facilities. They are to:
Ca n'Oriol, where the parish of Sant Josep Oriol and the House of San Jose Obrero, farmhouse with its own chapel, together with a large public park today, was given to social work;

Podem arribar-hi, en cotxe, en autocar o autobús, amb ferrocarrils, caminant, amb bicicleta, amb els trens de la renfe, amb el metro, menys en avió, perquè no tenim aeroport.

d) Introducció a la ciutat:

Rubí és una ciutat del Vallès Occidental situada a 23 Km de Barcelona, punt estratègic en relació a la xarxa viària i amb una indústria moderna en creixement. La seva població a mitjans del segle XX era d’uns 10.000 habitants i actualment supera els 74.000 habitants.

Aquest increment ha estat conseqüència de l'important creixement del nombre d'indústries i empreses, en una ciutat bàsicament industrial que s'ha anant especialitzant (indústria química i productes farmacèutics, metall, automoció, tèxtil...), i ha suposat un augment considerable del sector serveis per atendre les necessitats de la població.

e) Barris i vies principals:

Els barris de Rubí es formen a partir dels anys 60 en plena eufòria industrial, amb un fort dèficit d’equipaments. Són els de:

1. Ca n’Oriol, al NE on es troba la parròquia de Sant Josep Oriol i el Casal de Sant Josep Obrer, masia amb capella pròpia que juntament amb un gran parc avui públic, fou donada per a obra social;
2. Vint-i-cinc de Setembre, de la rància Obra Sindical del Hogar franquista, on hi ha la parròquia de Sant Pau, situat a migdia;
3. les Torres i la seva parròquia de Santa Maria també a migdia;
4. Can Xercavins;
5. Els Avets, a ponent com l’anterior; i el
6. del Pinar, a uns 3 km al de la vila amb la parròquia de Sant Fèlix.

f) Mobilitat interna de la ciutat:

Ens podem moure amb bicicleta, autobús, caminant, en cotxe, en moto.
